The beautiful British Columbia is now a ghost town, filled with empty houses and condos. The foreign buyers triggered the housing bubble, and the property market is now booming and spreading like a virus surrounding the city of Vancouver. Combined with the economical turmoil from the depleted stock prices in natural resources sector, Canada experiences hardship in sustaining happiness in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Furthermore, the moderate climate attracts many people under the poverty line, leading to the drug-use epidemic. As a tourist, you are oblivious to these issues. As a resident, you hear many people taking anti-depressants, due to the scale being tipped by the loss of jobs, healthy issues, stress of economic instability, etc. This stark photo represents both the yin and yang of the city of Vancouver.

Humans consider vitiligo as an 'imperfection', where as in nature, the similar process, called senescence, is a normal occurrence, and we consider it beautiful. How come humanity cannot see past the skin colour and appreciate the differences like we do with autumn colours.

During daytime, the lanterns have multiple colours with beautiful calligraphy, and during the night, the lanterns are lit up, bringing warmth into the night skies of Kyoto. The old and the new meets the streets of Kyoto, and you cannot stop but to think how beautiful it must have been in the past.

The tale is about a faithful messenger, a mere shepherd boy, who delivered the message to the roman senate first before he removed his thorns on his feet. This courageous act has lead to the preservation of his story through a sculpture.
